Technical stuff - Modelling for spatial projection in Cinema 4D

Cinema 4D allows for the model to be viewed fullscreen on another monitor, here ofcourse on a projector. This allows for instant feedback on the position of the objects in the model in relation to the objects in the realworld.

However, it seems that fullscreen in Cinema 4D is not actually the same as the rendered image, as the menus and other interface elements can’t be switched off from the fullscreen preview. In these tests the rendered image is imported into After Effects, where it’s scaled to fit the actual fullscreen entirely. This seems like an unnecessary step in production, that should somehow be overcome.

On the plus side, previewing animations straight from C4D, even in wireframe, cuts down in render time significantly.
